Rastafari Speaks

Re: welcome yishay
In Response To: Re: welcome yishay ()

Science shows this higher power. Of course, this had nothing to do with spirituality, simply the mechanics of the universe to my family. There were points I simply could not get them to go beyond.

No, I dont believe my family is cursed for not seeing things the way I do. We love and care for one another to this day. Im convinced that Jah has a path for all of us, and it doesnt necessarily involve one creed or another. While I base my faith on the bible, it does not mean it is the only true path under Jah. The Lord is infinite, all knowing, and merciful. I dont think all these differences exist simply to be the evil for the Christians good.

I understand the need for certain groups to appease society through assimilation. Much like homosexuals until recent times. Its only natural for a ruling group to only allow those who conform to its ways to prosper.

I suppose it is good I was raised the way I was, otherwise I might be kneeling in front of a pretty white Jesus with blue eyes and his well groomed white friends. While I believe in one Jah, united in the Holy Trinity, I recognize the divinity of Mary, mother of god.

Im only human, but I like to think I possess these qualities. At least better than the average American. My destiny is divine will as far as I see it. I was given life by Jah, for Jah. I try to live my life by his words, and what I feel is right. I am a firm believer that we all have Jahs word in our hearts, we just have to find our own way to identify it and live by it.

You are wise in the concepts you speak, and I am glad to reason with someone I see as having a decent conviction to his principles.

Blessings
