When the subprime credit was in operation, people bought otherwise vacant houses and got equity loans and were able to finance SUVs and eat at Red Lobster and shop at Home Depot and buy big ass high-def TVs. This allowed the workers to themselves turn around and buy houses...and then shop at Home Depot and eat at Red Lobster and buy themselves an Ford Excursion. So the Ford workers worked overtime which allowed them to go to the movies and eat at Red Lobster and buy high-defs...on and on.
