* I understand your point, in as much as the movement reflects the natural tendencies and baggage of it's supporters, you are correct. However you can't help but sense that there is some uneasiness that this movement could become more than just a cheerleading squad for the democrats, or co-opted completely by institutional forces. DHS didn't go after Obama supporters. It might be a good thing that this is happening during Obama's tenure in office, because it's his administration that is coordinating the DHS raids, it can't be positioned as merely the work of some dastardly white republicans.
