I don't really know how to respond. It's kind of alarming that the society is predicted to decline and die. I think before this happens, however, there will be great advances in the society. Look at the advances made over the past few decades. We have better machines that help us to investigate these alternative fuels. I am confident that there will be a solution before this crisis occurs.

I didn't see the comment until after I posted the site. It makes more sense to me . . . this is the same rationale they are going to use to start privatizing and rationing water supplies. With adequate research and developement (which takes funding) these sources could certainly replace oil, in my opinion.
