About the deception, The misconception, that we are free Yet we CAN choose to prosper Or contend with poverty Study the choices Listen to elder voices You’re rushing maturity Now the baby is three And you’re still in puberty What were you thinkin’ Oh you went drinkin’? Then you let something sink in, Well don’t jump in the water when you can’t swim Bad decision… More pain Less confusion… More gain Truths intrusion, your conclusion… The same!!! Don’t you know? A chance at life with less strife, maybe even make that gwop In the hood you wanna’ be blood, but now you done got shot Coincidence? I think not There were signs in life that you should’ve got Use your head your heart won’t stop The future is yours, now ya can’t turn back the clock Bad decision… More pain Less confusion… More gain Truths intrusion, your conclusion… The same!!!
