Title: Faith/Beliefs versus Knowledge/Facts
Post by: discipleofthenile on November 30, 2007, 05:56:19 PM
How often do we have conflicts between what we have been instilled with (religiously) and what is presenting itself as FACTUAL (spiritual)?

What do ones do when this contradiction occurs...ignore it and stay comfortable with preconceived notions? or investigate in order to honor Truth?

What is obvious is that we are instilled with FAITH.  Faith comes up short to FACTS, yet we are constantly bombarded with faith-basis.  Why is that?

That is to side-track our natural propensity to determine what is Truth or not.  Everything is of truth.  Our environment is of truth.  But the oppressors and deceivers cannot introduce and continually infuse garbage into our midsts when it is the only thing that is false.  So our entire information basis has to be dis-aligned from nature.  Contradictions to Nature and Dis-information MUST be applied to us.  We have to be dis-aligned from Nature in order to more readily accept falsehood.  This is done by promoting faith-basis OVER knowledge-basis...plain and simple.

Let us remember that religion and spirituality are COMPLETELY different.  Religion is like dial-up...spirituality is like DSL, its ALWAYS on...always connected.  Spirituality is not "practiced" or "observed".  Too often, we are ready to highlight differences with our brothers and sisters because of religious divisions via differing practices and observances.  But when is the last time you heard of differing SPIRITUAL views???

Personally, I have never heard of a spiritual debate...only a streamlining and reasoning that ladders the truths but not a flat out disagreement.  Yet, I have heard Christians argue with Jews, Sunni Moslems argue with Shiite Moslems...Presbyterians argue with Baptists...Southern Baptists argue with First Baptists...Elders argue with Deacons and on and on.

It is like the story that a poster on another forum presented..."The Elephant in the Room", or something like that.

But IF we dismiss our instilled notions just for a second and key on our observed and experienced knowledge AND more importantly, suppress of egos, there is no doubt that a laddering of Truth to a higher truth can and will manifest.
