Their response was to illegally fire two longstanding employees, Housing Manager Angelia Waller and Housing Specialist Valerie Sanders, giving them no reason and refusing to pay them for work done. Boley manufactured false charges against Sanders and had her arrested for "fraud", of which she is innocent. At the same time, several long-time residents of Boley's low-income housing were given notices that they would lose their HUD subsidy, effectively giving them eviction notices - even though they had all passed Boley's rigorous screening process. They were not given a reason, a trial or allowed the opportunity to come into compliance, if they were indeed found to be out of compliance. The only thing all of these people had in common is their support of the Uhuru Movement. No one else was targeted. This is a violation of free speech, association and federal housing laws and workers rights! *************************************************************** |
