Title: Lynching exhibit guides people to the truth
Post by: Ayinde on July 28, 2004, 07:01:19 AM
"Without Sanctuary" exhibit. It's embroidered with the names of 2,217 lynching victims.

The museum has needed an exhibit such as the lynching photos to capture the public's attention. The show drew 70,000 in New York, 176,000 in Atlanta and 31,400 in Pittsburgh. Since "Without Sanctuary" opened in Detroit, daily attendance at the museum has more than doubled from 250, says Wright president Christy Coleman. Exact figures are not available yet.

The exhibit covers one of the most shameful chapters in American history from the 1860s to well into the 20th century when thousands of African Americans were tortured and lynched simply because they were black. What's more, these horrifying rituals were photographed and the images made into souvenir postcards.

peace and hotep,

ayinde, not only were these horrifying rituals were photographed and the images made into souvenir postcards,

they were sent by the u.s mail until section thirty-eight hundred and ninety-three of the revised statutes of the united states was amended by adding

"and the term 'indecent' within the intentment of this section shall include matter of a character tending to incite arson, murder, or assassination",

referring to matter excluded from mails.  r.s. sec.3893, p.758 amended sixtieth congress. sess.1. ch.206. 1908. [smiley=lipsrsealed2.gif]

however, business owners vehemently displayed postcards and pieces of flesh within their establishment as tools of 'though control'.

what is interesting is the lack of the due process of law and poor peoples subjection to mob rule in most of the photographs. each person witnessing these lynchings were and are accessories to murders. some are still alive and carrying own that same old inciteful rhetoric of terrorism.

It is indeed sad that such barbaric acts were perpetrated by the so called " free & civilised country", it clearly shows that indeed the statue of liberty and the freedom they so much bost about only applies to them whities.

It doesn't shock me that they did it coz they are still doing it- they're lynching mother Afrika through their political & economic policies aimed at controlling us through the economy and whatever means they can, from giving us fish in form of aid so we don't learn to catch for ourselves to fueling wars and instability on the continent and in the streets of America.  Our people are still poor despite being the most religious people (Islam/Christianity) and most of all having so much resources.
WHY................................................................................ ? !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ANSWER: Our LEADERS ARE PUPPETS and it's a conspiracy to keep our race down.

The photos should be a reminder to us all, especially our brothers who don't understand/realise the white man's hatred towards us and continue to aid the enemy in his distructive ways. In fact this forum should have a gallery of such photos so that more of our brothers and sisters can see the bigger picture or truth these devils are trying to smoothly hide.

The exact figures may not be available yet but when they do the'll definately be higher than that coz these peolpe enjoy to see us suffer. They may even auction these photos to make milioons of dollars on our misery.

BROTHERS, LETS OPEN OUR EYES AND LOOK OUT FOR THE DEVILS NEXT PLAN WHILE WE TRYING TO END THIS UNTOLD MISERY THEY'VE BROUGHT UPON OUR RACE.

KEEP IT AFRIKAN.
