Title: Black Man of the Nile and His Family
Post by: kristine on August 31, 2004, 07:59:29 PM
I am currently reading Black Man of the Nile and His Family, by Dr.Yosef Ben-Jochannan. Since I haven't finished the book I would not feel comfortable at this point giving an overall opinion. I have gotten as far as the Egytian Dynasties, and it is confusing.

Has anyone else read this book, and what do you make of it?

I've read it...I liked it. Dr. Ben puts so much information in one book it can get a bit confusing, especially if you are reading it as an introduction book to the subjects at hand.  I suggest joining a reading circle/study group on such information. When other people read and study with you, it is amazing how much more you learn from the material and the people. If there isn't such a group available in your area...It's always good to start one. ;)

funny you should mention starting a group cause Dr. Yosef Ben Joshannan is the name of my book club.  He happens to be my cousin's  grandfather.  You should hear him speak in person.  Very powerful.  Starting a club is an excellent idea.

Peace.
