Title: Black Man Trod On [Never get Weary]
Post by: natural blacks on September 11, 2006, 02:57:17 PM
black man trod on [never get weary]
new year ises... 1999 ... behold ethiopia

a new year dawns,
the toil and cry of my people is endless.
the mood is celebrative,
yet my history brings me anguish.

of a past so glorious i recollect,
as i stare into the soul of this ethiopian boy
the hunger flaring from his eyes
his mother helpless, for she too dies

for of what is there to be joyous?
starving black children, opportunities rare
black women raped and murdered
black men indoctrinated... "god-sent murderers"

in the name of ALLAH they kill
"caring christians" inactive still
"God" is racist, jesus turns a blind eye
who shall give ear to the black cry?

but nothing lasts an eternity
it is true, this fact of LIFE i observe
for youth turns into old age
beauty into ugliness, and fault into virtue.

LIFE's transiency brings me hope
my labour is endless,
black redemption i must see
a place of rest for ini must be

the moment u see a cause, that u know within ur guts is just, yet u refuse to fight it, u begin to die. i have never seen so many corpses running around talking about justice.
