Title: on the oppressor and the oppressed
Post by: Makini on March 19, 2010, 06:51:43 AM
'Inequality of any kind should never be accepted mentality, and this is why the oppressed, by not accepting, often provoke the use of violence by the oppressor. But for a people in a position of oppression, the unjust use of force (violence) by the oppressed has been unable to control the will of the oppressed and must now resort to the use of a method that will harm himself as well as the oppressed, and will clarify the nature of the relationship between them. In short, the oppressor is forced to pay a price to maintain his oppression, and must accept that he is an oppressor. This permits internal awareness, the unity of the oppressed and the possibility of greater internal and external alliances.

The struggle of an oppressed minority always includes, among other things, an inter-minority class struggle, if other reason than that a small portion of the oppressed minority is always solicited to assist the oppressor group in maintaining its domination. As part of its functioning as well as its reward, this small portion comes to hold the main positions of socio-economic and political influence within the minority, as institutionalized from outside it by the dominating majority. They become, in short, an upper class of the oppressed minority (Kingfish).'
