The wedding buzz offers a chance to look at the monarchy, Britain’s domestic policy, and how its colonial legacy around the world affects foreign affairs today. More and more people here either couldn't give a toss, or actively despise these people and what they represent. Not to say that many patriotic idiots weren't waving their union jacks around, but it was nothing like Diana's wedding back in the 80s. You can fool some of the people some of the time but you can't fool all the people all the time, especially when the people are broke as a joke and you're using their tax money to fund your extravagant lifestyle.
