reflections on the water

with all the hurting
pain and suffering
i have endured and go thru,
i look at my past,
and i look myself in the mirror
i see that my reflections on the water,
is also the reflections of my peoples,
that water where blood drips,
one droplet, makesa a stream

the hurting is there, the pain is there,
because i bear the scars of time,
i stood acused and i didnt commit any crime
wait! wait like sean bell and amadou diallou
can i geta witness!

i overstand,
and thru overstand,
i feel their pain,
because my brothers and sisters
pain is also my pain,

damn!
this modern day rome offer necessary illusions
for young boy who came froma place,
of warmth and sunshine,
to the cold north,

soon found out,the harsh realities of life
( L.I.F.E. LEARNED INFORMATION FROM EARTH)

that not everybody that receives you is your friend,
and not everybody that welcomes you is ur friend,

the reflections on the waters,
tell me of my painful past,
where blood bathed the land,
the theft of india( induwa)
by the aryans, who killed and murdered
afrikans in the south of india( induwa)

people say time heal all wounds
wounds leaves scars
and those are the scars of time,
likea turtle,
the soft spoken boy developeda tougher shell,
and now he is growing his mane,
before he wasa cub,now he is becominga lion
who is not to be taken lightely,
he can not be tamed,

he is lion,witha soft spot,
it it the love for his people
and the love for what is right, justice
and for everything that is sacred in this world
that is the driven force behind him,

he cried at the base of river,
hoping that the tears would reach his deceased
ancestors,
because he bears the scars of time,
as he learns to let go off fear, fustration and anger,
and he learns how to direct his anger at the enemy of his people.

the reflections on the waters, are the reflection of my past
deceased ancestors...

it reminded me,that, the old days of the past,
and long anguish and pains,
the uncertainty of tommorrow,

i let the tears flow down the river,
like  water stream,

the reflections on the water,
searing pain, like tearing thru my flesh,

signs of times...
reflections on the waters
the genetic and spiritual prints of all my ancestors
who i knew and who i didnt ever have chance to know,
while on earth, they carried good life and did good deeds.

i let my tears flow in the river, hoping it would reach the ultimate
stream,the nile,
hope it would carry me home,
reminding me of healing ancestral wounds
is an arduous process,
in order for us to have wholistic healing
to heal the self,to heal the body and soul,

the reflections on the waters
reminded me not to forget the past
but to remember what is necessary to move towards
a better future,
with undying compromise, love for our people
without being judgemental
but being able to be analytical when times call for,
to be able to grow and observe without being too critical
it reminded me,that children is our next generation,
if we teach dem right, they will follow us,
if we dont, then we have failed them
and failed the next generation,
and have failed our ancestors.
