However, compared to Lot (scavenger) who had no fixed abode and could easily move on or relocate, the Sodomites (homesteaders) had established roots and were thus fated to go down in flames, with their roots.

Viewed without judgment these modes of existence are merely consequences of human choices; problems arise when some of us refuse to accept responsibility for our choices, and seek different outcomes at the expense of fellow humans. One who does not store in the time of plenty will starve in time of lean; unless of course he becomes a parasite. One who does not have to worry about daily creature comforts must bear the burden of possessions, unless of course he becomes an enslaver.
