But the "Christian" thingie is all screwed up in the world, babylon. It is not supposed to be a part of the world but separate from it.
What you are witness to in the media etc has nothing to do with Christ but even saying this I am assuming you mean the teachings of Jesus/Yeshua.
Well, that is faith by the grace and mercy from the Father and it is at His discretion and as to why noone can answer that question.
So faith is believing God, thinking His thoughts and letting go off the will to be able to accept divine revelation i.e. answers to your questions.
Some of us make it easy, (NOT me), some make it a difficult process (ME), and others don't really want to know at all.
