Title: The Black and White Shadow
Post by: Poetic_Princess on March 11, 2004, 09:03:30 AM
The black and white shadow

there is a black and white shadow that encloses me
a shadow beyond no other
a shadow divided into two
the black represents so much
colour of skin,mind and integrity
the kidnapping of our ancestors in the dark night
under a ivory moon light
the black shackels placed on our feet
the shackels around our necks
choking on our last breaths
placed on a black ship and sailed acrossed the dark sea
and into a dak middle passage
a journey which was savage and malnourish
but every present in this black mind of mine
too many lives lost for one to forgot
a history filled of darkness that seems to be
repeating itself but in stronger force
more ever present every where you turn
knocking on every door standing on each doorstep
attacking young and old
the white shadow lingers on
and struggles to be around
making it's present felt
in forms of mental slavery
attacking the weak and lost hearted
placing it's oppression upon all
as it strolls in self praise halls
holding it greed head high
and it's degrading unnatural body standing tall
walking around to pick at some one fate
the black and white differs from each other
as they speak and beg each one to differ
the black resembling a black rose growing
inbetween two stones
and the white a rose grown among greed and unjustice so it
feeds and grows unblemishly
till the day these shadows can walk hand in hand
they will always walk one on the left and the other on the right..
