Title: African Religions and the Bible
Post by: MuddyRivers on September 24, 2005, 02:52:41 PM
The number 1 story of how People were separated from God amongst African peoples is similar to this one:

An woman was pounding her yams and hit God in the eye, this made God angry and He fled high away from us and the sky followed.

Isn't this interesting in that African separation from God stories and the Bible, both say this:

African Separation Involved:

Woman
Food

Bible Separation Involved:

Woman
Food(fruit)

There are an lot of African things that seem to have given rise to the bible.

What do Christians and others think of these connections?

For the record, most Afrikan creation stories dont involve women or food.

The first creation story that I am aware of involved a woman.  Ausar, Aset, and Heru.

Don't think they mentioned any food though?   [smiley=2thumbsup.gif]
