Hello everyone. I have just registered willing to be a part of this community. I would like to share with you a poem that I recently wrote:

When will our minds be fully freed?
When shall we all unite as one?
Will the slavery ever go away,
Making us regain our rights?

Why does everything have to be so tough,
For us- black beautiful people?
All the sad things they have done to us
Have heard our mentality.

We have been down almost for ages,
Worked in chains around our feet,
Nobody looked at our gender,
Nobody cared, nobody did.

We have been tortured, hit, abused,
Often murdered, pushed, and used;
People have thought of us as strangers,
So it goes and goes for ages.

Most mistreat us strongly, even now,
They say we are nothing, they say that we are dumb;
But it is their shallow thinking that will make them fall,
There will be no begging but the brightless sun.

Yet, what we have no one else can have,
What Jah created for us, no one else can take;
The land of the lands with the dark rich earth,
Where people live humble but they smile and dance.

The land of gold, very warm days and cooler nights,
The land of slow-flowing life,
The land of nature, where pure ocean shines
The land of beauty,
The land of BLACK
