Title: The Push (not for sensitive viewers)
Post by: siger on March 25, 2007, 02:25:55 AM
No sound escapes my lips,
no bleat or grunt
to reveal my agony;
in this battle,
only one will emerge victorious,
and i have no time
to voice my misery.

So i push,
like i've never pushed;
the enemy pushes,
rather he refuses;
and there we stand,
old friends
now at arms,
none willing to yeild
on this battle-field.

My knees doth quiver,
see my brow shiver,
as i silently curse
that ill-fated woman;
it is for her that we struggle,
by her that we battle;
she of the cooking pot
and wooden ladle.

So i push,
like i've never pushed;
all sweat and no mercy,
till with one loud sound,
the enemy succumbs,
i still push
relentless,
now in joy, no agony,
i wish u were there
in my moment of victory.

But you were not there.

So victory goes
without moment
no cheers or jeers
at this glorious hour;
and as i leave the rest-room,
u hurry past,
with emptied bowl and stomach full.

So on to silent victory
but dont forget to push......

To Mama Nalongo; whose mouth watering food was a cursor to many untold victories...

Thank you;

I thought most ppl would be offended;
but some of life's silent endavours merit mention, i think....
