Last night I visited a world full of differences—

And in that world I met a Jewish man and an Arab man

I met a Christian friend

We were all sinners!

And in this side of the highway

I kneeled down—just to draw a new painting

I added colors

I added texture and gracious garments…

In that world full of differences,

I planted more lotus flowers

I pulled up the weeds and the inflated thorns

I planted orchids and married them with the sweet sun

Yellow became black again,

As the sun passed them by—

In the world full of differences—

White sheets never reclaimed the streets…

…And that was the western world.
