Title: Black Man Blues?
Post by: natural blacks on April 23, 2007, 12:11:35 PM
this divide and rule

praise to he who divised this rule?

for from even before 1492

the racist white man has used this tool

to enslave black people

to destroy their egos

and trap them as slaves

werkin them on their plantations

with spit-in-the -face rewards,

while they build their nations

but the black man

the disgraced and misplaced afrikan..

he crys

the black man's plight

he dares to rebel

for he knows not how he will survive the night

how he will feed his 5 children

now in all tiers of this education system

he envisions their future success

he shudders at the thought

of them living the pain he lived

many mornings without breakfast

he wishes the wheel's turning

metaphysical freedom or obligation,

his insides burning

if he has no job, he has no earning

he was never taught words like...

entreprenuirship

he was never made to believe

or even perceive

that he has the same abilities

the same human qualities

as the rich white man

who has filled his brain with lies

has twisted truths

and hidden his ancestors from before his eyes

this black man

this disgraced and misplaced afrikan..

he crys

black man battered and abused

aches of decade old scars

his skin coarse and tattered

by years of scorching sun

working 9 to 5

6 to 8:30

monday to saturday

washing, church, personal bizniz on sundays...

no time

more time

the system slowly drains his Life line

this black man

this disgraced and misplaced afrikan..

he crys
