Title: When Bredrin Fall (R.I.P. Stanley "Big Shabbo" Lackey)
Post by: Ras Rebel on August 01, 2008, 05:04:22 PM
R.I.P. Big Shaboo and all other young brothers that have fallen to sensless gun violence

When Him Bredrin Fall
The Lion is still.
He weeps in quiet places

His matted mane
Cannot shield his pain
From prying faces

When Him Bredrin Fall
The Lion recalls
memories of midnight magic;
adolescent days during middle passage

The iridescent gaze of a childhood friend
Is a lasting imprint of life gone by
The Lion cry.

When Him Bredrin Fall
The Lion is stunned
He pauses to ponder the setting sun

He is numb
He feels nothingness
And everything at once

Cherished memories
Of kinship diaries
Surface as he grieves

He abandons routine,
seeks peace in solitude.
The mood is heavy
but recollection evokes laugher
He envisions re-connection in here-after

The Lion is wounded
He sheds tears from his heart
When Him Bredrin Fall
The Lion seeks light in the dark
