I Am A Little Light

I am small and I am very bright.
I am in the dark and I am just a little light.
I have walked many days in a world so heartless.
Though I try to use my light to shine out the darkness.
Have I become alone and afraid of my light?
Sometimes I want to run and not sleep through the night.
All day in every way I walk to where I start.
I stumble against nothing because there's nothing but the dark.
God, I get afraid cause I see the dark a lot.
I must realize it's my shadow and fear myself not.
So I continue to walk aimlessly to feel my way back home
No one sees me as I truly am, a little light alone.
I feel like I'm the only light, like things will never change.
When I think I'm there, I'm nowhere so I keep myself aflame.
Everywhere I go there's a brilliant glow about me.
Cause I'm the little light and it takes the dark to doubt me.
As shiny as I am the little light in all his glory.
Keeps shining out the dark but always tends to worry.
I am a little light with the light that I hold.
Cause the light in my heart is the love of my soul.
