BANTU KELANI

AFRICAN WISDOM

THIS IS WHAT YOU MAKE ME FEEL !
YOUR WORDS RING OUT SO TRUE
LIVE AND DIRECT.

You are
You are to me so real
So strong
Strong in nature
Strong in wisdom
Strong in knowledge
Strong in overstanding of I-self
A beautifully strong
BLACK WOMAN
With such great love for your own
You are to me
One of these wonderful -black- moments
That continue on in my mind
On to  infinity
You turn the flicker to a flame
You've helped me rediscover my name
Helped me eleviate the pain
To elevate
And staved of the rain
To re-embrace our space
When I read your words
I read you
You warm my heart
And awaken my soul
You escalate my thoughts
Thank you for your eloquence on I and I
BLACKNESS
We MUST say it loud
We are BLACK !
And we are PROUD !

Sister KELANI  !!!

A very gifted scholar of  BLACK awareness
Keep leading us to the light
Blessed!
Guidance !
Thank you.

WORDS OF WISDOM
Quote

Free persons name themselves.

It is not a taboo to go back and retrieve what you have forgotten.

The person at the top of the mountain did not fall there.

A people without authority and power is a people without respect

You can take a horse to the water but you cannot make it drink, you can take a fool to knowledge but you cannot make him/her think.

Winning begins with an attitude!

To the World you might be One Person but to One Person You might be the World.

Sometimes the majority only means that all the fools are on the same side.

The teeth are smiling, but is the heart?

A fool speaks, a wise person listens.

In the abundance of water, the fool is thirsty.

One falsehood destroys a thousand truths.

There is none so blind as those who will not see.

It is the wise who unties the wisdom knot.

Following the path of least resistance is what makes rivers and people crooked.

Live your life so that you would not be ashamed even if you sold the family parrot to the town gossip.

Little by little grows the banana.

A little is better than nothing.

This great panorama of creation dates back from time immemorial, no one lives who saw its beginning, and no one will live to see its end, except God.

Even the mightiest person once was a helpless baby.

Do not think of yourself higher than you ought to think

It takes an entire village to raise a child.

Honor your parents and the elders.

Can there be peace where there is no justice?

Truth crushed to the ground will one day rise again.

Those who forget the past are bound to repeat it.

If you are not guilty of the robbery then you should not hold on to the loot!

Learn from the mistakes of others. You won't live long enough to make them all yourself.

If you don't know where you are going any road will get you there.

You can have no greater sign of confirmed pride than when you think you are humble enough.

Love lights its own path; it never gets lost on its way home.

Friends are angels who lift us to our feet when our wings have trouble remembering how to fly.

Your worst days are never so bad that you are beyond the reach of God's grace. Your best days are never so good that you are beyond the need of God's grace.

In thinking be mature. In everything give thanks.

The safest place in the whole world is in the will of God.
