toto garvey
u told us
a person without
knowledge of his or her
past is likea tree without roots,
i stand on ur shoulders,
toto garvey,
and in the shoulders of so many of our freedom fighters,
this is the journey of re turning home,
ode to marcus mosiah garvey,
who came before marley,
and even peter tosh,
who wasnt the flower power, one love
kinda rasta,
was singing,
" if you are blackman, you are an afrikan..."
the jamaican police and the authorities
could deal with bob marley
singing redemption songs,
they couldnt contend with peter tosh
teaching black men, that they are afrikans,
oh hell naw,
they want them to be perpetual slaves,

even b4 peter tosh,
garvey laid  the blue print for every afrikans,
even doctor kwame knhruma learned from garvey
and many others,
and he proudly said" africa for the africans, those at home
and those abroad"
he didnt say, africa was for the wanna be rastas, white yuppies
and white hippie rastas,infiltrators,cultural bandits,
ode to marcus garvey and ode to peter tosh.
proud afrilkans, who loved momma afrika! Two Thumbs Two Thumbs Two Thumbs
