It is interesting. I read about 'witches' in a textbook about the culture of the numerically dominant Setswana speaking tribes in my country. According to the book, for these tribes witches were generally held to be killers. The word witchery would be synonymous with killing. Other things that witches were known for were going around naked at night and doing 'ugly' things; and doing such things even with children around. Witches were killed traditionally if they were caught.
Nowhere does the book ever mention children being witches.
