A young man was walking on a country road, which had a cane field on each side of the dirt road. He was walking alone when suddenly a car came up behind him and stopped. There were two brothers in the car who knew him and invited him to get into the car and travel with them. He told them no because he was going fishing, but they told him to get in since they could ride him closer to where he was going fishing, so, he decided to take the ride. Then they stopped at a drinking bar which was on the roadside. Those two who were first in the car, ordered alcohol from the white man, but they did not have enough money and the white man warned them before he took up his gun out of his money till, but those two brothers also had guns, and so the white man shoot them, but they also shoot him. So, all three of them died on the spot.

Now the brother who got the ride from them, did not know what was their intention and was very frieghtened about the whole matter, he did not order any drinks, but now there are three dead men on the ground. But instead of him get away from trouble, he went into the money draw,to take what money he saw was there, and while he was doing that, the whole white tribe came to see what had taken place, since they heard the gun shots. So, he was taken away and jailed and tried and sentence to die in the electric chair.

Well, he did not kill anybody, but because he was the only living blackman who was found in the shop with three dead people, he was found guilty although he was innocent, had he continued walking as he was doing without accepting a ride, he would be sitting by the water as free as free can be. So, some times our own people can mislead us and get us into trouble. Look before you leap to see what you are going to reap.
