Thanks for the link and the different perspective. Yesterday after Obama's speech the talking heads were quite upset with what they considered his apologetic tone, continuing to highlight the aspects of the US-Latin American relationship that sees us (Caribbean and Latin Americans) as charity cases, always looking for a handout. As a Trinidadian I know how hard our leaders fight to receive a fair price for our natural resources, only to have US and European leaders in the guise of the UN and IMF dictate to them how the money can be spent. Which usually results in perpetuating the poverty of our nation's citizens.
