Can you find the Republic of Mali on this map? If we apply what we know about the French and their name for the Fula one could assume the same for Mali. There is no slice called Mali in this French rendition of the African Pie. What we find is a lot of Maures, Maurui or Moors. I point this out because Diodorus contends, that the Egyptian (and according to Diop the Wolof speakers of Africa's West Coast) rendered their 'R' like an 'L.' This would mean Malians are the same Maures who inhabited the West Coast of Africa.
This is key to Massey's contention that the Maori originated and travelled from the West Coast of Africa to their present location in the South Pacific, some 12kya.
