seen I. give thanks for edification.
the attitude of seperation from nature, or man is seperate from nature did not start with the state religion of Christianity though. and I wouldn't place the blame on Judaism either(although the injunction of man given dominion over creation is often cited). i think it is the result of religious doctrine filtered through cultural values. i say this because Christianity and/or Judaism does not exist in a vacuum, but rather exists within a complex mesh of a socio-political-economic-cultural value system. that is why i am beginning to feel that it is important to see the difference between the small sect of "Christians" which existed before the sect was turned into a state religion with specific doctrine that favored empire under Constantine(in this sign, conquer). You see with Constantine state religion called Christianity, it is not just the symbols, rituals, etc. that are at play, but rather symbols, rituals imbued with the expressed goal of unifying an empire under a codified doctrine.
The same could be argued with Zionism today - it is not Judaism per se, it is Judaism, imbued with white supremacist cultural values with the expressed goal of imperialism and conquest.
