Vincent Buruga writes on from Uganda: vinnyburg@yahoo.com
LRA, Mao rob Nile Republic from Ladoans Although Sudan, DR Congo and Uganda do not want to hear of it, independence for the kingdom of Lado remains a cherished ideal and to them legitimate pursuit of Ladoans wherever they are found.
The ‘disenfranchised’ people of Lado have discovered a secret plot to stab them in the back by the creation of a ‘Nile Republic’ in which they are denied a stake, or even a say.
Lado does not exist because its territory was parcelled out among the three states mentioned above. Lado was ‘desecrated’ by the colonial powers and to the present day, their king the Agofe lives secretly in exile in Scandinavia.
100-yr Dream
Ladoans have been pursuing the restoration of their state for over 100 years. They say that Britain and the USA have a contract out or the murder of the Agofe, John Bart Agami. Official Lado records show several times the Agofe has escaped assassination, which partly explains their reluctance to issue photographs advertising his current appearance.
The same secrecy shrouds members of the Lado Provisional Government.
However, TOP SECRETS managed to get one of Lado’s ministers, Ronald Lulua, to speak out on a number of crucial matters affecting Lado.
One is their alleged denials of participation in the Juba talks between the Uganda government and Kony’s Lord’s Resistance army.
Nile Republic?
He firmly believes that the idea of the so-called Nile Republic mooted by Gulu chairman, Norbert Mao and the LRA was stolen from Lado’s advocates. He believes they are trying to exploit a vast number of Ladoans without involving them in the process.
That, he believes, is why Lado has not bee represented in Juba, in talks that will affect Ladoans, more than any other interest group. Fact on the ground show that as far as the talks in Juba are concerned, Lado does not exist.
Ronald Lulua pours out his heart below.
The i! nternati onal community backed by Britain and USA are struggling to ensure that Lado is not presented at the Juba talks.
They insist that Lado name should never appear on world maps but should become a Southern Sudanese state.
Lado: UN Case
But Lulua boasts that they will not succeed because Lado petitioned the UN Security Council in 2001 against any such moves. Lado is firmly opposed to a planned referendum in Sudan that will lead to the creation of a state meant to suffocate Lado.
“But we insist on absolute independence and sovereignty for Lado.”
As an ‘ Occupied Territory ‘ Lado Kingdom is denied a seat and a voice in the United Nations General Assembly and must struggle in silence as its people get decimated within their ancient borders.
Lado’s people are defending their all, which is their right under the UN Charter of 26 June 1945; Article 1, Article 51 and Article 73, in addition to International Law. But since the international community denies Lado recognition as an independent, sovereign state, anyone feels free to loot and Kill in Lado.
Britain and Belgium, which occupied Lado in 1947, are doing everything in their power, including their former African colonies, to kill the State of Lado. Some African leaders have been lured into the trap.
AU Suspected
For instance, Europe has created the African Union (AU) and imposed artificial borders based on the Berlin Treaty of 26th February 1885.
Through its African satellites, Britain has created the ‘African Commission’, whose main objective is to erase Lado from world records.
Through the European inspired AU, the fate of Lado will be relegated from being a UN issue to a purely African affair. Europe knows that Lado has no intention of being part of the AU and will use African countries hostile to independent Lado to seek a solution to the Lado question.
AU is just an extension of EU and it will continue the colonisation and rape of Afric! a by pro xy. Sadly, yesterday’s war criminal is today’s hero, but Lado’s petition to the UN stresses; No Peace Without Justice.
Lado has suffered all manner of crimes against humanity, including genocide, ethnic cleansing. Some were perpetrated by foreign powers, others by Ladoans themselves who are in the pay of foreign powers.
Lado Dribbles
Panic among the enemies of Lado boiled over when the Lado Provisional Government, under the Agofe, John Bart Agami sent their independence petition directly to the UN Security Council.
Britain and our enemies would have preferred the case to be heard by the UN General Assembly, which would almost unanimously vote against Lado.
They would treat Lado’s independence bid like they treat that of Palestine. But why is Lado such a thorn in the British backside?
Vast natural resources and fertile soils aside, Lado is so strategically placed on the African continent. In old times, European powers said, ‘the master of Bohemia is the master of Europe’ and this applies to Lado, which serves as an echelon for the control of the continent.
Elected African leaders cannot afford to annoy their foreign sponsors by backing Lado.
Their sponsors own the powerful Oil and Mining lobby and their affiliated companies in weapons and pharmaceuticals.
These weapons vendors have placed gigantic mushrooms and listening devices of the foreign powers, led by Britain and the USA.
Strategic Enclave
With such installations in mountainous Lado, those who operate the ‘Echelon System’ in close cooperation with countries in the Anglo-Saxon Axis of the British Commonwealth will listen in on every phone conversation and to read every E-mail and fax in Africa and beyond.
Obsession with the control of Africa’s resources has resulted in a new kind of colonialism under which all nations must adopt the Anglo-American brand of Government: Democracy and Market Economy. This means a US puppet regime or a ! British Commonwealth satellite, working against the aspirations of its own people.
We have witnessed wars of ‘democratisation’ being ignited by the powers, when they pick interest in fuel, minerals or land. The targeted area is marked off as a military base or a thoroughfare to transport oil and gas. The latest ‘War on Terror’ is an ideal cloak for such clandestine operations.
UN Impotent?
Under the circumstances, petitions for independence and sovereignty cannot be welcome.
But Lado’s independence is overdue and Ladoans wonder why UN Resolutions 1514 (XV) of 14 December 1960 and Articles 1 and 73 of the UN Charter of 26 June 1945 do not apply to Lado so that her people can enjoy their God-given right to run their own affairs as a sovereign entity .
But so terrifying to some is the prospect of independent Lado that everything will be done to thwart it.
Next Monday TOP SECRETS will show you why the anti-Lado conspiracy is so desperate.
Vincent Buruga is an investigative reporter of merit. It has taken him nearly two years to access the highly secretive authorities of the state of Lado, which is no mean feat
