...my previous post spoke to repatriation, where I meant to refer to both reparations and repatriation as my overstanding is that in the past, Sistren Makeda Blake Hannah has been a leading and active advocate for both ("no repatriation without reparations").
Following some further reading of articles written by this sistren, it is more clear to I why some Rasta resent her positions and do not accept her as a spokes-wombman of Rastafari. Her views regarding Jesus Christ, white Rastas, her assertion of an essential difference between Jamaican and American/International Rastas (see link below), and the 'authority' with which she seems to speak regarding Bob Marley based on her personal friendship with him (i.e. see "If Bob Marley Were Still Here..." http://groups.msn.com/RastaItes/bookclub.msnw?action=get_message&mview=0&ID_Message=5075&LastModified=4675558081905654178&all_topics=1)
There are several examples of InI reasoning and raspectfully disagreeing with Sistren Makeda Blake Hannah on the RastaItes message boards as well as here at rastafarispeaks.
