Greetings Rastafari,
Oshun Auset: Sistren I really think that you hit the nail on the head in stating that "Most see liberation as being successful in a capitalist system, not fighting against said system."
I truly believe that this is the essential problem with InI people. Buying into (no pun intended)the capitalist system keeps people working for the "all mighty dollar" and spending it just as fast as it reaches ones' hands. This becomes the core of people's lives and eventually ones mistakenly accept that their spending /consumption is a matter of survival.
It always amazes I that ones and ones treat "shopping" for clothes and "stuff" as a "social activity". Western privilege and materialism have really caused ones to lose the ability to recognize value other than that translated into a monetary amount.
The individualism inherent in capitalism means that it automatically works against the unity of all peoples. InI indigenous people are the greatest victims of capitalist enterprises globally, but we also suffer the deep loss of InI communal ideals as we try to "keep up with the Jones'".
That's why "WE MUST WAGE A RELENTLESS CLASS STRUGGLE"!
Bless
