As the Statue of Liberty states:
"Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!”
Interpretation:
America has an underclass of negroes (descendants of slaves) and unlike any other country in the world, you have(had) the opportunity to rise above serfdom and be above the "wretched" that you would have been in your own country.
The best promoter of capitalism was totalitarian oppressive communism. And now in America, there's nothing left to capitalize on. The corporations control everything.
