SIMMONS AND COSBY ADVISE BLACKS TO PLACE FAITH IN CORRUPT POLITICS

During the past several weeks here in Massachusetts Dr. Bill Cosby has been featured in television ads which encourage Blacks to vote in white America's political system. During the same period many national media have featured articles about Russell Simmons working hard to bring Black youth into the orbit of this same system.
Why are two of the wealthiest and arguably most influential
African-American entertainers and businessmen urging our people to place their faith in a diseased and dying political system?

Should they not be aware at this crucial juncture in our history of all of the following:

(1) From its inception Caucasian America's government has been inherently racist and unjust in its treatment of African-Americans (today properly identified in the U.N. as Afro-Descendants). (2) President Bush stole the White House in the 2000 Election, after Gore received more than 500,000 votes in the presidential race. He stole it by specifically depriving Black Florida voters of their franchise. And he did so with the blessings of a corrupt Supreme Court.
However, Gore was and is the open adversary of our people and, like Bush, fiercely opposes Reparations for us.
(3) All of the current white Democratic presidential hopefuls oppose Reparations for us and support the continuation of long-term U.S. policies of ethnocide and forced assimilation against us.
(4) Under white America's crooked political economy. millions of our people are unemployed and ever increasing numbers of Black men, women and children are being herded into concentration camps called prisons.
(5) There is not one Black Senator in the U.S. Senate and the vast
majority of Black elected officials in America have to do the bidding of rich whites just so they can have a marginal impact on the political process.
(6) Recently an American federal judge declared that a Reparations lawsuit being pursued inside America's courts is basically null and void.
However, I am not writing this to "blame" or "chastise" Dr. Cosby and Mr. Simmons because they themselves are VICTIMS of a centuries-old process which, thanks to the courageous work of the Reparations Movement
spearheaded by the Honorable Silis Muhammad inside the United Nations, has only been thoroughly exposed inside the international legal arena during the past decade.
They, like all Afro-Descendants, were robbed of their original
language and culture and to this day in 2004 are suffering from the lingering effects of plantation slavery. All of our people, regardless of their economic class, political preferences or religious categories, deserve to know the truth in detail about the real Reparations Movement. Only when they have a thorough knowledge of that Movement, including the fact that Reparations means Restoration, will they experience genuine healing. That healing will only be complete when our Human Rights are firmly established inside the U.N. and when we have our own Government
and our own Economy on some of this Earth that we can call our own.
