Rootsie,

much of what you say is true.  i.e.:

"I wonder if whites embrace black movements to deal with their shame and distance themselves from natural consequences."

&

"The most difficult and painful realization for whites is that counter to all the hype about what whites can do, they cannot through any actions of their own relieve the world of white supremacy. Only the victims can. Whites can play a supporting role, and they can sincerely engage the issues, clarify them for other whites, and get out of the way. One of the things we see on gross display in Iraq and elsewhere is the white assumption that we are the saviors of the world."

But to add to this, I see many blacks around here that are worse than uncle toms.  They are essentially the same, but different in the sense that they are completely ignorant of all situations regarding the very issues that oppress their race.  They do not know their own history; and worse - they do not care.  They make no active effort to understand their own past, and no effort to get to know the great voices in Afrikan history.  I'm certainly not bragging, but I know Afrikan history better than a solid 90% of "African Americans," who have more or less forsaken the African portion of that poorly chosen title.

And as you see, raising certain issues to whites only annoys them.  The same person that asked if I was "jerking their chain" made the horrifically stupid argument that "it wouldn't matter if Jesus was purple.  We're interested in what he said and what he did for us spiritually."  BULLSH*T.   Why portray someone from N. Africa/Gaza as European then?  WHY?  He said "people like to see God as themselves."  And I said "THAT IS NOT THE PROBLEM.  That's almost understandable.  The problem is that it is both untrue and they impose this fallacy on others for the sake of their own supremacy.  They want their great white god."  By this time he was getting very agitated and conveiniently had to use the bathroom to suspend (and indeed end) the conversation.  He claims further that the fact that Yeshua was not from Ham's decendency proves he was not black.  How foolish is it to believe there had not been mixing between the three lines of decendency post flood (and again this is only relevant for Christians who accept this as fact; others view it as myth and I am aware of this)?

Nonetheless, Bantu, I'm trying to make my strides, and I am sure you have to be able to see this compared to my opinion on matters when I first started posting here some year ago or so.  I've begun to educate myself and the next step obviously is to share that knowledge with others...

POST SCRIPT:
I remember someone quoting Josephus as having written Jesus was "short and of dark complexion."  If anyone knows where I could find this in his writings, could you refer me please?  Much thanks & blessings.

W.E.B. Du bois ....nah...

He was a "traitor" when he was younger as a Boule' integrationalist/assimilation supporter, but he became a socialist Pan-Africanist, basically converting to the ideology of Marcus Garvey and repatriate to Accra Ghana. Some can't forgive him for his younger years...

I can, considering I am a former member of th N.A.A.C.P., the N.O.I., and a previous frequent attendee at the meetings  Malichi York's group had(Holy Tabs, Ancient Egyptian Order, Egyptian Church of Karast...ect) We all go through stages of development....I know I did....lol...

Some of the others you listed range from people who made mistakes in their actions or had confusion in their ideologies to agents and traitors...Have fun figuring out who is who...
