Money before you marey my daughter

I am from Haiti and our custom is different from those of Africans when it comes to marriage. Africans ask for dowries from the male’s family and us Haitians ask for dowries from the woman’s family. I am in a dilemma as I want to wed this very lovely sister from Ivory Coast. We can’t decide on who will be showing the money me or her.
