Main Indigenous African Religions Practiced in West and their country of origin (and where they get their contemporary influences.)

(1) Togo/Ghana/Benin -- Vodun/Mami Wata

(2) Haiti -- Vodou (Voodoo)

(3) Yoruba Faith has several manifestations in the West:

Quote

* Africa/USA influences -- Orisa'Ifa
(try to practice as close to african as possible)
* Africa/USA -- Anago
(try to practice as close to african as possible)
* USA/Africa -- Oyotunji
* Cuba -- Lukumi /Santeria
* Brazil -- Candomble / Umbanda
* Trinidad -- Sango Baptiste

(4) Central Africa/Pan-American -- Kongo / Palo Mayombe

(5) Ghana/Togo -- Akan

(6)Nubia/Kemet (Egypt) -- Ausar Auset Society
(A spiritual system that stems from "classical" African history, not "traditional" Africa for you history buffs. Resurrected in 70s/80s in USA, but has roots in Africa. Deemed only legitimate manifestation of Kemetic spirituality in world, as it is only system that can actually invoke and possess its priesthood with Kemetic deities and speak in ancient tongues during this period.)

Our indigenous religions are very profound and fascinating! If we the lost children of l'AFRIK GUINE study the spiritual metaphysics and the rituals of our traditional religions, the healing Wisdom of Africa will heal us! For, with any of these ancient spiritual tradition, we can return home.. Thank you Iyawo_olokun for trying to help our Diaspora brothers and sisters awaken their spiritual powers.

We should first show solidarity with each other. We are Africans. We are black. Our first priority is ourselves.
