I must state this to the young person who is questioning the use of condoms.  Firstly condoms were never meant as a form of birth control but rather to prevent the sexually transmitted diseases and infections from passing from one person to the next.  Latex condoms with water based lubricants are the safest condoms to use.  I don't think anyone would be against using Latex gloves as a universal precaution.  Well think of condoms in the same manner.  Look at the statistics of young people that have or have had atleast one sexually transmitted infection.  HIV is rising in the Black Community merely because we choose not to use universal precautions when it comes to our sexual activities.
