Forgive me family....

I know I'm new here but I must get this off my chest.

I am so disgusted at the condition and the behavior of most of my people around the world I think I'm becoming literally sick.

The older I get the more it's becoming apparent to me that WE are our worst enemies and the way we behave is our number one problem.

White supremacy is real and severe, but it merely exploits the weakness that already existed within us and this is becoming self evident as I travel across the Unites State and meet black people from other parts of the world.

I am a Muslim, but this has nothing to do with Islam...it's a moral/behavioral problem within our family that seems to cut across all ethnic, geographic, and religious lines.

I'm tired of our poor performance world-wide in science and technology.

I'm tired of our poor punctuality and lack of ambition.
No matter where I go black folks always seem to be late, or lacking something essential...even when they own their own business.

I'm tired of people of other races coming into our neighborhoods in America, and our nations of Africa and the Caribbean buying up land and running business because were are too damn undisciplined to do so.

I'm tired of seeing our young men and women getting on television cussing and acting a damn fool and calling it "culture" or art.

Break-dancing was art, this "krump" crap is not art and is embarrasing.
The new forms of rap music that I hear being blasted all over the airwaves is crap and very embarassing.
It's becoming less about rhythm and talent and more about just acting crazy as hell and not caring about how you look while doing it.

The amount of materialism, jealousy, and greed involved in our social relations...especially that between men in women is sickening to me and I wish a some sort of sexual revolution would take place in the black community.

I'm sick of seeing so much warfare, poverty, and disease on the continent of  Africa.

I don't like how our bodies are being destroyed and so many of us are out of shape.

We are the most muscular people in the world naturally, we should be the models and the people most envied...but instead too many of our young brothers and sisters are walking up and down the street with swollen bellies and sloppy cloths with silly looks on thier faces.

They've just stopped caring about their appearance.

Now some of it is because of our lifestyle and diet, but some of it is chemical warfare imposed on us by racist whites in power.
But even much of that is OUR FAULT because we've been in the West long enough and had enough opportunity to develop our own hospitals, labs, and farms to cultivate our own food and medicine.

The same thing in Africa.....

No doubt AIDS and other diseases are being spread by racists who deliberately infect our people as a malicious form of population control.

But I still blame US for much of it because we have 2 arms and a brain just like the white man and could have developed our own vaccines and cures for diseases instead of allowing whites in to treat them.

Now ofcourse these problems aren't shared by ALL black people, but they are common to too many of us and something needs to be done about it.

No doubt, many of you will say it's self destructive to constantly and harshly criticize our people...espcially publicly.

But in many ways criticizm is not only necessary but theraputic....especially if one provides solutions to these problems.

At this point, I really don't know what to do because I'm tired of seeing black people in this condition.

Hotep Brother

Not everyone survives in war out of 100% maybe 30 will survive and where in a war, so who ever doesn’t want to realise that will be caught unprepared. The one who want out of the matrix will find a way out because there are so many ways out right now.

Who ever wants to stay in and proceed with their self destruction fine, you can’t force anyone to develop a conscious it’s a natural thing, some people are already dead anyway.

Those who are outside of the systems control can offer a solution know and again but we can’t make that our main goal.

Those who are supposedly enlightened can easliy say that some people are their worst enemy. The person who is his own worst enemy needs to be enlightened. I too get frustrated. But what one must realize is the phenomenons you speak of Omar are the result of years of conditioning and present programming. The projects aka the ghetto was exactly that, a project. A project that left the confines of the test area and evolved into a mental condition. Just like adult sex offenders who can trace/blame the root of their behavioral problems on something that occured when they were young, the mentality you speak of can be traced.

Hotep brother Jemba.

You're right that we can't save everybody, but I'd rather even the lost of our people remain under the control of concious black people rather than be used as pawns and slaves of the enemy.

Kind of like a jealous lover who says "if I can't have you no one else will".

That's not the best analogy but the best one I can think of right now to describe how I feel about the most ignorant of our people.

But another problem is, ignorance seems to be contagious and as long as the most ignorant of our people are being promoted and praised in the community, they damage our future by encouraging others to behave as such.

So what do we do with the trouble makers in our community?

And more importantly, who should we consider the troublemakers?

Bro...at this point...I honestly don't know if I'm "enlightened" or not.

I thought I was because I have a knowledge of self, history, and religion, but so many people tell me I'm wrong on so many issues that I can't be too enlightened.

But regardless, our people are among the worst in condition and I'm just tired of the excuses.

If it's not one problem, it's another and as many excuses we can make for why so many of us are in the condition we're in...another inexplicable problem pops up.

I agree wholeheartedly with you that the behavior is CONDITIONED.

Problem is, whether it's conditioned or genetic our people are still raising hell and catching hell.

Damn near every black man now knows that drugs was brought into the country by certain peopel in government in order to destroy us....yet they still deal, use, and glorify dope and the lifestyle that revolves around it.

Coming all on television and the movies glorifying it and promoting it to black youth all over the world.

Why don't I see Afgan or Columbian youth...where the shit is grown...doing that?

Africans know damn well that whites have been their historic oppressors and colonizers, yet still line up to recieve medical treatment from them.

Then when they get AIDS, Ebola, or some other mysterious illness they run into a pitiful condition and run to whites for more help.

This is inexcusable and no other people (except for the Native Americans) can even dream of being that damn ignorant.

Yes...I know my words sound harsh...because I'm frustrated and can't see a viable solution that my people will accept.

Do you see things getting better for our people or worse?

If it's getting worse, then we need to come up with a new plan.

I see things getting worse. We have been pacified by money or the possibility of requiring wealth. We have not picked up where the civil rights movement started then failed. We have been alloted a few very expensive trinkets but we still have no real political power.

In order for any substantial progress to be made, the rate at which our people degrade into ignorance MUST be exceeded by the rate at which they are enlightened. What is required now is for effective means to broadcast the TRUE message to the larger unknowing masses. Going through conventional channels of confiding in our black leaders to educate the masses will FAIL MISERABLY;

Consider the reason why this current white dominated empire is so sucessful. There is no single head to cut off. There is no one particular individual to blame. The sickness permeates to the very core of society to the point that even the innocent are guilty. Any attempt to attack the source in this case, necessitates an attack of the multitude. This is an uphill task.

Identified as a threat through his/her message, the lone individual will be silenced immediately. This has been done in the past and will continue in the future unless a better strategy is devised. Any future attempts to effect change must incorporate this fact or will be doomed to failure. What is required is a means to MASS COMMUNICATE, effectively empowering the average individual so that he/she becomes their own leader. Only then will the ability to identify a potential target be removed. Now rather than later should be the time to start brainstorming techniques to achieve this end.

I take exception to the concept or notion of “own worst enemy”. Such a notion contradicts the biological prime directive of life which promotes living entities being their “own best friend” in order to promote the prime directive of survival. The only people who are their own worst enemies are those who are consciously suicidal and hence act against the prime directive of the promotion of survival (living). Even then, people who are suicidal are that way mostly because they cannot deal with the pain of existence. Something is hurting them physically or emotionally to the degree that death seems a viable escape from it.

To suggest that black people are their own worst enemy implies a suicidal nature and or black genetic inferiority. Given that the pattern of suicidal tendency and behavior shows PAIN, mental of physical, to be the primary cause of the tendency, then what is the source of pain for black folks that creates this suicidal differential? If there is not PAIN leading to this tendency, then the only other option is faulty wiring among black folks relative to other folks who do not demonstrate the propensity, in degree or kind, to be just as suicidal. Which one is it….pain or inferiority? Be clear.

I think we need to be very careful not to mistakenly transfer our animus toward the person(s) suffering as opposed to targeting the cause of the suffering. If you are in a hospital room and the person in bed next to you is suffering in pain to the degree that their moans and vocalizations puts you in discomfort….you may soon grow angry towards the victim and not the disease that is ravaging him or her. You may think “I wish they would just shut up….it can’t be that bad….they are weak…I would not moan and cry like that and I am sick too”. That is misplaced animus....

Yes…..things are bad for black people as a whole….but don’t blame the victims…..blame the disease……which is white supremacy and capitalism (the synergy of exploitation and capital).

Peace.
