MICHAEL PORTER, author of best-seller "Kill Them Before They Grow
: Misdiagnosis of African American Boys in American Classrooms" is a counselor at Savannah State University and began his professional career as an educational therapist. He has worked as a child and family therapist for a state of Georgia mental health agency, a youth advocate for 'at-risk' youth, and five years as an Emotional Behavior Disorder teacher in the Georgia public school system. He operates Balanced Life Consultation Service, a conflict resolution service for parents and children. MICHAEL PORTER holds a Master of Education in Counseling.
