such beauty....
it is wonderful that people recognize perfection
the gods made us in their image and likeness and made us impeccable...
it is obvious--we are the first.

Click the Help link to the top for instructions on how to post pictures.

Also, do not link pictures directly from websites that are not yours or without permission from the owners, especially those free hosting services, as they offer limited bandwidth and these photo links can crash their websites. If you have your own pictures and you want to link them here, email them to iditor@rastafarispeaks.com to be placed on this website's server, then they will email the links to you to post them on the board.

I hope this helps.

Hi Im new to this website and Im also new in discovering my african heritage and as proud as I am and as beautiful as these pictures are I cant help but face reality and see an entire continent and its diaspora around the world in what seems to be a perpetual state of suffering and hardship im sorry to bring such negetivity to a forum which has so much positive energy but I must know what are people of direct and indirecet african heritage going to do to or what can be done to lift our people out of the daily struggle of povery and grief and into a time of prosperity and hope...

Hey Jahari, like you i'm new and i am concerned about the poverty of our people everywhere, the thing to do is to give whatever you can to help. You can sponsor a child, or volunteer to help out some people in need. You can even educate other people around you so they can decide to help out as well. You can present your people as people who need a chance to work out of poverty, so the majority out there who thinks nothing can be done (because of the media's portrayal of third world countries) so this majority can realise what Africa and the diaspora is really about. You can teach the black children around you, how to appreciate their heritage, instead of being somewhat ashamed of it (again due to the media).
Don't despair, a lot of work is done to relieve balck people everywhere, and some is done by individuals like you and me.
Peace
