My baby girl’s kisses on Monday morning
are like a Sunday sermon
uplifting my spirit.

Baby Girl’s eyes on Tuesday afternoon
taste like sweet banana pudding
on a golden spoon.

My baby girl’s smile on Wednesday evening
Is like the smell of fresh roses
every time I breathe in.

Her hugs on Thursday night
are warm and tight
like under covers by candle light.

She called me on the phone, Friday at lunch,
sang a song so sweet
I forgot to drink my punch

During Saturday morning cartoons
sounds of amusement
escape Baby Girl’s room.

Then on Sunday while she sleeps
I stare at Baby Girl;
The angel of my week.
